“Oil Painting - Process Photos”

I start by coloring over top a black and white copy of the original photo.

After building the frame and stretching canvas, I apply an acrylic under painting defining basic shapes.

I tend to put facial details in next, so that I don't feel lonely in the art studio for the remainder of painting.

Blocking in areas of shadow before smoothing them out.
