“If i could do it all again”

If I could do it all again
would I lose it all again?
Knowing all I'd know,
feeling all those lows.
If I could shake the same mistakes,
could I mend what I watched break?
If I could change a couple days,
what would be at stake?
A silence for a rose,
a torture for a tone,
a bullet for a poem,
a grapple for a groan,
a trumpet for trombones,
a wheatfield for a bed,
a sunrise for the dead.
If I could do it all again,
I would lose it all again.
All the same mistakes.
Myself being at stake.
